But enough about the outside of the cake, let’s talk about the inside!  Three tiers of chocolate’y-banana’y-Nutella’y goodness, how can you go wrong? :)  The top and bottom tiers are Triple Chocolate Cake (chocolate cake, choc-o-holic frosting and chocolate chip filling)!  The middle tier is banana cake with Nutella filling and Nutella buttercream!  (are you drooling yet?!)

Popcorn and Ice Cream Cake!

The challenge popcorn section of the cake holds 7 layers of thick Cookies-n-Cream cake with extra cookies in the frosting, covered in white fondant with red accent stripes and personalized for the birthday girl, Jess!  The popcorn on top is REAL popcorn molded with marshmallow fluff, mexican vanilla and sprinkled with gold glitter!  (Shout out to my other “assistant” Ryan for sculpting the real popcorn topping!)

This little bitty ice cream cake holds Red Velvet cake with Cream Cheese Frosting inside and mounds of swirling sherbet colored Cream Cheese frosting with fondant cherries on top!  And of course…glitter! :)

Pink Leopard and Zebra Bachelorette Cake

If you look closely, you can see the touches of lavender and hot pink inside the hand painted leopard print!

The Bride to Be and her Cake!

For this cake, I was given a pink safari theme to work with!  The flavors requested were Triple Chocolate and Lemon Lover!  The bottom tier has a wild light pink zebra print and solid pink top wrapped up in a brown bow!  And the top tier is a hot pink giraffe print!  The base of the cake showcases my now signature “Belly’s Mommy To-Be”Silhouette”!  *

My favorite part about this cake is the hourglass shape the top and bottom tiers create; mimicking a woman’s body, because we ALL KNOW Wonder Woman has one rockin’ body -what better tribute could I have paid her? :)  And that belt… that big glittering gold belt!  I think she would have proudly worn it while kicking butt, don’t you think?  Of course, the top tier reflects her signature WW logo and the bottom tier was designed to match her star spangled hot pants!

Happy Birthday Gloria!

The bottom tier stood almost 12″ high and was inspired by the white couch and ottoman in the below photos!  The top tier was a mere 2.5″ tall and was embossed with a damask design textured design!  The elongated bottom tier shortened top tier give the cake a very chic and modern feel!   Moving on to the other design elements;  the red applique was inspired by the blue mirror frame below and the stripes on the base of the cake were inspired by the black and white striped chair (the black stripes are also damask embossed!)  Oh, and just in case you were wondering, the cake flavor was The Bombshell!

And the best part of all about this cake, it doubled as a graduation/birthday cake… and by the end of the night it became an engagement cake!  So, congratulations are in order to my client Lindsey!

Inside the cake is Vegan Red Velvet cake (100% vegetable oil in place of butter, silken tofu in place of eggs, and almond milk + vinegar in place of buttermilk, vegan friendly red food dye) with Tufutti brand “Better Than Cream Cheese” frosting!  Even the fondant is vegan!!

The customer was also nice enough (read: AWESOME enough!!) to provide me with an image of the cake along side the X-Men ladies action figures -check it out below!

Inside the cake is chocolate cake with choc-o-holic frosting!  It also features a peek-a-boo Hello Kitty with a lovely purple heart, a lime green top tier with floating hearts, a GIANT pink polka dot bow,  a sassy zebra print bottom tier and finally a bubble name plaque!  Happy 4th Birthday Addison!

This mini Hello Kitty cake is pint-sized puuuuuuurfection;  a 6″ bottom tier and 5″ top tier!  Featuring a regal white top tier with green swoops and glittering gold adornments, pink and green polka dots  and of course Hello Kitty herself !  The bottom tier features funky pink zebra stripes and a green and white name plaque for Parker!   Inside the cake is vanilla bean cake with Belly’s Buttercream Frosting and party sprinkles!!

(Side Note: I need to learn to take photographs  that will capture the abundance of glitter used in my cakes!  This cake was completely covered in princes pixie dust! Any photographers out there willing to share a tip or two?)

Casey's Camping Cake

If my Physics professor taught me anything, it’s the higher you build it, the wobblier it gets (I think he said that verbatim?  …Ok, not verbatim but the same principle applies!), so needless to say, this cake was by far the most terrifying cake I have ever delivered! This cake traveled in 1 piece, not several pieces and assembled on site, as I do with most cakes over 3 tiers tall!  I received several honks and angry drivers who passed me on the street due to the fact that I was going approximately 15mph the entire drive!

All that said, Riley absolutely loved her gigantic cake creation (even though it was twice as tall as she is!) and I was so honored to be a part of it!  The cake is lemon flavored cake with lemon butter frosting finish with fondant decorations!

This sparkler of a wedding cake includes snowflake brooches, a two tone white/ivory cream cheese pearlized finish and elegant piped swirls!   Towering tiers of Lemon Lover, Red Velvet, and Carrot Cake inside; but the cake pails in comparison to the beauty of the bride, Lilly, who deserves a lifetime of happiness with her new husband Taylor!  It was an incredible pleasure to provide the cake for their special day and I was honored with the experience of fluffing her dress just before she walked down the aisle to her new future!  Congratulations to The Newman’s!  And what a coincidence… Happy NEW Year!  (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself!)
